I actually was trying to do something else, but apparently the computer wanted me to hypnotise visitors to my site. So I followed along...
Uses Box2D for the physics (talk about overkill), Web Audio API (changing position, velocity, oscillator's frequency...) and canvas for drawing the ever melting and blurring image.
